For the last three and a half years I have been living in leggings and jogging bottoms, the closest I’ve come to a proper pair of trousers has been an elasticated waste chambray pair that I have worn on repeat. Gingham is today’s theme for Wear it on Wednesday a and it was just the push I need to finish up a quick refashion. This skirt used to be on a dress I made a few years ago. It’s the first of May, which for many sewists marks the start of MeMadeMay. A month long celebration of handmade clothes started by @sozoblog . For me, the challenge of wearing something handmade each day has become less and less challenging as the years go by and more of my wardrobe is me made. This year I decided to to challenge myself to be kind to myself about what does and doesn’t fit me, both my size and my lifestyle, as I come to accept my limitations whilst living with ME/CFS.
